Iris Ioffreda, M.A.

Iris has twenty years of management experience in corporate, non-profit, and educational settings. Her business experience ranges from managing a small company focused on health care needs in developing countries to sales and marketing at IBM. She has extensive experience in adult education, gained through her work directing conference and training programs for George Mason University’s Center for Health Policy, Research, and Ethics and the education program for the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, a national association.

One of Iris’ areas of expertise is leadership development, and she frequently works with women, international, and emerging leaders. Iris has conducted numerous leadership training programs with both U.S. and foreign professional groups.

Iris is a sought-after facilitator, particularly for strategic planning retreats and multi-stakeholder meetings. She is adept at developing collaborative processes, creating stakeholder engagement and building consensus.

Iris is fluent in Spanish and has lived and worked extensively overseas. She lives in Arlington, Virginia where she has held leadership positions in many community and education-related organizations. Iris is a member of the Leadership Arlington class of 2006.

Iris has a post-graduate certificate in Organization Development from Georgetown University, an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan, and a B.A. from Grinnell College in Iowa. She is certified in the Myers Briggs Type Instrument, the Strengths Deployment Instrument, and is trained as an action learning coach.
